As part of a partnership, in 2017, ARADEX AG supported EFA-S GmbH in the electrification of more than 50 delivery vehicles of an international parcel delivery service – and more will follow! Three types of vehicles were electrified, two of which have a gross vehicle weight of 7.5 tonnes and the third type of 3.5 tonnes. The noise level of the vehicles and their CO2 balance were significantly improved. Also of central importance was an increase in the efficiency of the powertrain as well as a range that enables a full day shift without recharging at the charging station. In addition, powertrain and battery were kept as compact as possible in the interest of low weight and high efficiency.
