The motor test stand, whose planning was announced in the spring, is taking shape: The new ARADEX building already has the machine bed, which will be supplemented in the coming weeks by the load motor, a crane and the required electronics. With a maximum capacity of 5000 Nm at 6000 rpm, the new test stand offers the potential for exact measurements of motors, even for heavy commercial vehicles and ships. In addition to an up to 700 Volt controllable DC link and two VECTOPOWER inverters VP600-18W268 (peak current AC 800 Aeff each), a VECTOPOWER DC/DC converter (type VP5000-DCDC200) completes the powertrain. Due to the high level of technological maturity of the ARADEX control technology used and the optimized coordination of the individual components, the new ARADEX test stand will thus be able to determine extremely precise measurement results for wide range of power classes. From autumn 2018, the new test stand will be operational and contribute to accelerating the marketability of new developments from ARADEX.
