Proton Motor Fuel Cells, ARADEX partner for fuel cell applications, plans to set up a joint venture in cooperation with electric car maker e.GO Mobile. The aim of the e.GO REX joint venture is to develop a compact 22 to 30 kW fuel cell system as a range extender for the e.GO electric minibus, the “e.GO Mover”. The fuel cell should be designed only for the average energy requirement and not drive the electric motor directly, but be used for continuous charging of the battery. In this way, the industrialization of the system can be facilitated. The planned fuel cell system should meet all the requirements for high-production suitability.
