On Tuesday, January 23, 2018, the Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH (WRS) hosted an evening event on electric mobility as part of the “Zukunftsforum Stuttgart” (Future Forum Stuttgart). Around 70 representatives from the electric mobility industry followed the informative lectures and used the industry meeting to exchange ideas with other participants on specific developments and to make new contacts. In addition to other top-class speakers, Thomas Vetter, founding member and board member of ARADEX AG, was also given the opportunity to speak. As a representative of the automotive suppliers and experts in electric mobility, Thomas Vetter talked about the future development potential for electric mobility. Under the motto “Every change creates new opportunities”, Mr. Vetter predicts a high demand for high-speed electric motors, which can help save important resources such as neodymium and copper. Mr. Vetter also sees an increasing demand for application-specific motors and power electronics components for special-purpose vehicles. He also sees a future potential in the further development and production of fuel cells. Concluding, Mr. Vetter gave an overview of the broad product portfolio of ARADEX AG, and explained on the basis of several actual project examples how ARADEX designs efficient and economical drive systems for commercial vehicles, construction machines or ships.
