ExternalPrecharge
Due to their function, high-voltage inverters and DC/DC contain integrated capacitors. To start or connect such devices to a high-voltage system, they cannot be directly connected “hard”. The charging currents into the integrated capacitors would be impermissibly high. The ExternalPrecharge module uses the internal HV voltage measurement in VECTOPOWER inverters to perform soft coupling with external relays and charging resistors.

High-voltage systems which do not already have a precharging function or whose precharging circuit is too weak for the sum of the connected high-voltage components.
Can also be used for very high high-voltage capacities and thus also for large systems by suitable selection of the external switching components.
