Electrification of ships - that's what it says
The stricter emissions regulations, which have been in force since January 2015 and will intensify over the next few years and the steadily rising price of the required maritime diesel, will lead to a rethink. It is time for the development of new, more efficient drive concepts, which already meet today's requirements.
Exhaust gas and consumption savings are issues which are of increasing importance for the economic viability of marine applications. In the meantime, it is possible to draw on empirical values from different electrical drive solutions. Whether diesel-electric marine drives including power management or an electric drive coupled with solar technology, ARADEX offers specifically adapted drive solutions for different applications. From experience, we can say that up to 30% fuel injection, optimum exhaust gas values as well as a significantly reduced CO2 emissions can be realized.
The efficient and innovative ARADEX technology makes it possible to achieve more precise maneuvering with speeds above 20 rpm and, compared to other drives, has a significantly higher failure safety of the motors.
