Battery-electric asphalt paver
In addition to realizing drive functions from HV batteries, the solution also features a locally generated power grid with 3*400VAC, 50Hz and 44kVA continuous power. This enables the operation of a wide range of electrical devices designed for mains power supply.
The challenge
The main challenge was to enable almost continuous operation of the machine for maximum working efficiency.
The solution
MOTRAC solved this requirement by means of two HV batteries, which can be indi-vidually replaced within minutes. This allows one battery set to be charged while the machine is working with the other battery set. The batteries are coupled to the high-voltage system by means of HV-DCDC converters. This also allows the HV system to remain operational during battery replacement.
