How can the electrification of mobile machines be successfully implemented? Which technologies are already available, and which hurdles still need to be overcome? These and other questions were the focus of the meeting of the IHK Research and Innovation Committee at ARADEX AG.
After the welcoming address by the committee chair Dr. Stefanie Schrader, CEO Dr. Stefan Hellfeld presented his company and its latest developments in the field of electric drive systems.
In his lecture “Transformation of working machines to new energy”, company founder Thomas Vetter then used concrete examples to illustrate how commercial vehicles and mobile working machines can be converted to renewable energies. And what possibilities the use of software tools offers. Impressive demonstrations in the foyer of ARADEX AG rounded off his presentation.
Finally, Marleen Keller from the transformation network Ostwürttemberg spoke about the bureaucratic hurdles and the use of AI. Her concluding needs assessment showed, among other things, how the Supply Chain Tracking Act is causing enormous costs and that reducing bureaucracy, especially with regard to the numerous regulations imposed by the EU, would be a relief. The companies in attendance then provided insights into the areas in which AI is already being used or the use of artificial intelligence is planned.
