Intelligent tools for machines and installations

ARADEX develops the drive electronics for intelligent tools that are used in machining centers and machine tools. The high-performance drives and precise measuring technology allow the creation of mechatronic systems that were previously considered impossible.

  • ARADEX has developed a special drive electronics for the electric actuating tool MAPAL TOOLTRONIC®. As a result of the inductive energy and bidirectional data transmission, TOOLTRONIC® is a fully fledged NC axis. This makes it possible to use the full functionality of modern CNC controls, such as the interpolation of different axes and wear and tool nose radius correction.
  • Clamp-by-Wire is a tool clamping system that clamps tools solely with electrical power. The high-resolution ARADEX measuring technology reliably detects jammed chips during the clamping process.
  • In the case of special spindle solutions, ARADEX precisely coordinates the mechanics, the drive electronics and the electric motor. This gives you a mechatronic system that increases machine performance quite considerably. The VECTODRIVE® spindle inverter achieves a machining volume of 12.5 l during high-performance cutting of aluminum.
