
VECTOPOWER electric drive
The general advantages of an electric drive are clear: torque from a standstill, higher efficiency and fewer emissions than combustion engines. The challenges start with real-life use:

Compact and powerful - the inverter
The VECTOPOWER inverter offers an extremely high power density: It has an output of 250 kW with a volume of only 10 l. The high power density and the compact dimensions save space – which you can use for more batteries, for example.

The VECTOPOWER electric machines also offer strong performance data. The electric motors are precisely adapted to the requirements of your application.
Field-weakening PM synchronous motors
The VECTOPOWER PM synchronous motors stand out as a result of their optimum efficiency at all operating points.
The high-field weakening ability of the motors allows maximum speeds. In particular, the VECTOPOWER PM synchronous motors with buried magnets and utilizing the reluctance torque offer a very high power density.
High-efficiency asynchronous motors
The VECTOPOWER asynchronous motors achieve the efficiency and power density values of good PM synchronous motors. The high overload capability allows more compact motors. In the case of strong peak loads, an asynchronous motor is much more robust.

Higher battery range due to high efficiency
The VECTOPOWER electric drive takes advantage of interactions in the system and thereby achieves a very high efficiency. This saves energy especially in the partial load operational range that is important for consumption, for example in stop-and-go traffic. The high efficiency allows greater ranges or the use of smaller and thus cheaper batteries.
Low-price series production
The VECTOPOWER electric drives allow considerable material savings, e.g. through the use of high-efficiency asynchronous motors. This enables a low-priced series production.
